Some people may be ridiculing Gwyneth Paltrow’s blog, but I actually think it looks fun and genuine and I will definitely be having a look over the next couple of days when I have time to explore it a bit further :)

But one thing I already stumbled upon and thought I’d just share with you guys, is this: Overcoming Sugar Addiction. Could be pretty helpful I suppose :) Now, does she have an article about overcoming carb addiction too? Hmm …

Just ordered this yesterday! Looking forward to getting it in the mail :)

How to get rid of the bloat!

5 foods that help you get a flat stomach:

  • Oatmeal
  • Lentils
  • Quinoa
  • Broccoli and all types of kale
  • Dark wholegrain breads that are rich on fibres

5 foods that make you bloat:

  • Coffee
  • Tea – Yes, even green tea if you drink a lot of it!
  • Sugar
  • White bread
  • Light and diet products
4 tips that make a visible difference:

Exchange your daily fruit for vegetables. It’s better on your digestion since the sugar in the fruit can disturb an otherwise healthy digestion.

Make sure to drink lots of water! It may seem strange that you need to fill your stomach with liquids in order to make it flatter. However, a reduced intake of liquids and a bloated stomach are connected.

If you can’t make do without your smoothie there are ways to avoid the bloat. Try drinking it while having a bit of meat for instance. That way your stomach will have something to digest. Why are smoothies not all good? Read here.

Take time. Both in preparation and in chewing your food.

Tall is not cute→

I am appalled to say that I agree with an article from Lainey Gossip (I probably agree because it wasn’t written by Lainey). Also appalled that I’m actually posting a link to her site, but it’s actually completely spot on what’s written in the article. If you’re a tall girl like me (5’9.5”) you’ll know exactly what they’re talking about. Give it a read.

But a tall girl – from the age of about 12 or 13, she knows she’s not ‘cute’. Not adorable. She can’t wear babydoll dresses sometimes, because they look like she’s a child who can’t stop wearing her childhood things. She’s never going to be the kind of girl whose boyfriend rests his chin on her head while they attend a concert.

The tall girl is supposed to be able to protect herself. From childhood, she looks older and much less silliness is tolerated from her. Tall girls are expected to be more mature and responsible. In hetero couples with a tall man and short women, he often puts the guiding hand on the small of her back to make sure she’s OK. You rarely see that with a tall woman (which means that for me at least, when it does happen, it’s kind of kryptonite [Me too! Us tall girls want to feel small and protected too! (my comment)]).

Your daily workout inspiration: Miley Cyrus!

She has been doing a lot of pilates lately, and it shows. I’m going to be doing a lot of pilates from now on too, if it’s going to do this to my body!

(I kinda hate posting these pics when it’s clear that she is less than happy about having her picture taken, but ohmygod, does she look amazing)

Weight loss/health people, I have a question for you!

Lately I have been noticing that my veins are becoming more visible under my skin. It’s not like they’re bulging out of my skin, but I can just see the blue lines running under it. I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about this or has experienced the same?

My dad (who’s a doctor) says it’s because my body fat percentage is getting lower. Is that really true? It just seems like it’s happening quite quickly. But to be fair I have been doing a lot more cardio than I’m used to for the past (almost) two months, running 2-3 times a week.

I’m not worried that there’s something wrong with me (I feel great) - I’m just really curious if anyone else has experienced this in connection to weight loss? :)

I just had a moment of awesomeness! Running stats from today (21 March 2012)

I just ran 8k! :D So proud of myself! It’s the farthest I’ve gone this time around, and ever now that I think about it actually. I even ran the first 5 without stopping, then walked 1k and then ran the last 2. I feel so accomplished! :) I’m well on my way to making it to the 10 km that I sat as my goal.

8 km / 4.97 miles

51:47 mins

9,27 km/h / 5.76 mph
